Different Types of Penis Disorders and Their Symptoms

It is true that female reproductive system is a complicated system but male reproductive system also faces several problems. There are several types of male reproductive system diseases that have known to affect external and internal parts of male reproductive system. 

There are mainly two types of sexual health problems in men that have been registered: testicular disorders and penis disorders. Out of these we will be discussing penis disorders in this article. Some of the primary problems that are included under the category of penis disorders are: priapism, phimosis, Peyronie's disease, balantis, and a few others. Let's know a little more about them.

Priapism - It is one of the most persistent type of sexual health problems that leads to a painful erection for 4 or more hours. Erection under this condition is not caused any sexual activity or orgasm. Some of the common causes known for this problem are drug abuse, wrong medication, anesthesia, etc.

Peyronie's Disease - It is another common type of penis disorder found in men. It leads to formation of hard lump or plaque on either upper or lower part of penis. It begins with swelling and irritation and might lead to a hard scar. It reduces flexibility of penis and the area that is covered under the scar.

Balantis - Balantis or balanoposthitis refers to constant inflammation on foreskin and head of penis. This problem has been discovered often with the men who haven't been circumcised and have a very poor sense of hygiene. Some of the other common causes for this problem are dermatitis, diabetes, infection, etc.

Phimosis - It is another kind of sexual problem under which the penis foreskin goes tight and is unable to pull back. Phimosis is caused by balantis, some kind of serious injury, chronic inflammation, etc.

Paraphimosis - Paraphimosis refers to the condition when penis's foreskin gets retracted and is unable to return to its original position.This kind of penis disorder is considered to be a very serious one that needs to be treated immediately, any kind of delay might lead to other kind of serious problems. This occurs when there is a lack of blood flow in penis veins or there is some sort of prolonged swelling.
